I think this is more of a case of very bad lawyers rather than bad tool. For instance, as an professional engineer, I use computer simulation to design various things or to solve problem. However, it is always my responsibility to know the limitations of the tools that I am using AND to evaluate what the program spits out makes sense... Clearly, if these lawyers were to do that, which is a part of their JOB, then none of this would have happened. On another note, does it speak volume on computer models like ChatGBT (or the quality of lawyers) when it literally FOOLS 2 of them? Now, on another hand, Google is coming out with their version of ChatGBT (Bard), and most lawyers uses google to do their legal case research. Perhaps, Bard will have better luck?
