Teachers using AI to help with grading and planning should not be used as evidence of hypocrisy when students are discouraged from using AI in the classroom. Teachers have been paid less over the last two decades when you take into account the cost of living adjustments, and their work has been increased… it feels impossible to do at times. While AI can be used as an excellent tool to improve students’ learning, more often than not they are using it to pass off chatbot responses as their own.
