Ai is going to wipe out the entire working class, first it will be anyone in an art, literature or programming related field.
Then it will be corporate labour, Ai farming, shipping, designing and marketing products, finance etc.
The average person cannot compete with corporations as is, now the corporations dont even need the people.
They can just absorb as much money as they can and then just swap it between themselves, they dont need to sell products to poor people if they can sell to eachother. If they somehow dont have enough money they can just get handouts from the government and deal with eachother for their own needs.
Robots dont question companies, they dont get tired or ask for anything, and robots will deal with any humans that do. This is why the government is totally fine with this.
