DEEP GUILT: I find it hard to believe a man of Geoffrey Hinton's intelligence only suspected that the AI work he was being paid millions of pounds for might have a negative impact on society , after he had collected enough to secure his families future. I have deep respect for Geoffreys academic achievements but I think he's warning everyone out of a sense of deep guilt, which he denies but obviously and very rightly feels.
