@SlimeyBaron art is not being stolen, why do you think the law suits never happen. It is analysing the works, not using them. That is not theft.
Ai is mot inherently anti art. You even use the more basic generators to create actual works. Right now it's just still very reliant on using other programs like photoshop. Many artists are using ai, like respected artists that didn't start with ai.
Hell most of the skills important to art transfer. In order to make a good piece you need understanding colour usage, scene settings, symbolism etc.
Any idiot can pick up a brush and draw a bad stick figure. Would it be fair to only look at those stick figures to judge the possibilities of painting as a whole?
