AI bro calling artists "tyrants" over...making art themselves. It's a shame how people think making art is an unobtainable gift you have to be born with; this "blue blood of artists", as they say. It's their way of justifying using generative AI. When I started making my own videos, I was used to writing essays, I had some facsimile of experience in editing, and I took a public speaking class in college. I was at least used to some stuff, sure. But making thumbnails was new territory for me. I'm no artist, far from it, but my thumbnails are made by my hands; it's my work. It feels wrong to say my thumbnails are "artwork", yet when AI bros come along and steal it for their own videos because my video got "popular", I can't deny what it is. Every field of artistry, be it paintings, digital, martial, improvised--it all starts somewhere: at the first step. Though I won't ever use AI, I'm not fully against it. I believe generative AI should be used for inspiration, not plagiarism.
