the banana taped to the wall is actually, unironically awesome art. the joke with it isn't whether it's "✨ real art ✨", it's that some rich jabronie spent a ridiculous amount of money buying it to get a tax write-off. that's what it was trying to draw attention to. plus it's just so preposterous as a piece, and it at least stimulates discussion. "AI" "art" can't as individual pieces because it's all gormlessly regurgitated dross.
