It honestly doesn't seem like anything would have stopped his. That driver is a complete piece of shit that definitely drove like that with his car before getting a tesla. And more than likely would have been driving dow that road not paying attention and speeding no matter what car he was in. But tesla should have removed his ability to use "self driving mode" before this happened though i don't believe this would have saved that womans life just kept tesla from being partially responsible.
