I miss when AI art was more glitchy, full of defects and flaws. It was trippy and a style that I’ve never seen before. It had a style of its own. Not CG, not photograph, not painting, it was… AI art. Most users intend to use AI generation tool to replicate a certain style of art that human creates (in this example Ghibli style). AI or no human beings can surpass the original. Instead AI community should focus on creating something unordinary that only AI can create. Synthesizer was created to mimic real instruments, but it fails to do that. But soon artists realised that there are sounds that only synths can create and made whole branches of new genres from this tool. It was one of the breakthroughs in music history. AI generations tools has so much possibilities if used right. A writer, a philosopher or my grandma who has never studied art can now output their ideas in a visual form. Anybody with a verbal skill can express something in the form of art, and that to me as an artist is very exciting to see
