23:08 i feel like what you guys are saying is that that true act of art is the influence/impact it has on you while making the physical thing. And as such an artists true canvas is only ever themselves?
I love your guys’ perspectives. But i disagree almost vehemently. As a staunch non-believer in the “specialness” of human kind, i think its ridiculous to say that things arising from the complex interactions of physical matter is only capable of producing consciousness necessary for art, when and only when it appears in these weird primates funky brains. But not when, say a physical in-organic structure that has the ability to produce the same fashion of interpretive data processing as your neurons.
You can believe humans are special, with a “spark” or whatever. But ai can hallucinate too, and thats a main hallmark of creative faculty in problem solving.
But~ i think the science is pretty much in, or will be very soon, that our consciousness, our “us” is just a single facet of expression for the fundamental laws of the universe, and that it could/probably is available to be achieved in many other ways unique to ours.
