As a senior developer with 35 years experience: AI does help me in day to day coding, but architecture, DRY principles algorithms and immutability principles are largely alien to it.
It's a tool like any other. Knowing how to configure, how to safeguard and how to use it for the right task is key. Just like any other tool: it needs humans. Unfortunately, these humans must be highly skilled. And such people are few and far between.
