You know, I played around with AI generated images (midjourney most of all) and even went so far as to "create" a comic, a short one but one nonetheless, had all the trouble of fine-tuning the prompts and generating similar looking images for the comic to make some sense. It was ok. Created a page on instagram and uploaded some images, people really liked it, made some generated images for some friends and all, and you know what? IT SUCKS. Im still learning to draw and want to animated and create art, but AI is most certainly not that, it is a tool yah, it can do some things sure, but to call what it spits out your own art is so fuckin far from reality. I stopped using ai for a while now, don't get me wrong, i still use chatgpt, but art related i definitely want it to be my own hands to compose it and create it, it makes it all so more your and satisfying.. and im not even gonna discuss the idea of calling oneself an artist but creating nothing in the process and just feeding a machine that spits an aproximation of reality.
