I think the fact that AI is based on our own society means that it will bias emergent situatuations over prevention of harm. In late stage capitalism, we are putting out fires but the prevention is not always so central to our strategy. I think AI reflects this. This is a slightly stretched example of that i think but reflects how these situations are being treated in the world. If we treated the prevention of malaria in children as urgently as a drowning child in our current society, it would probably reflect that.
