My employer is pushing AI on us hard - and leadership is asking for anecdotes like "Give us an example of a task that would have taken weeks but using AI only took a few hours".
They have made the baseless assumption that AI will cause these quantifiable productivity gains, but it's on us to somehow figure out how to get the gains they're predicting. It really is frustrating...
The only way AI has saved anywhere near that amount of time for me is using it to create a script that can parse huge amounts of data - and in reality writing that script would have taken 10 minutes but with AI it took 2...
