I loved this video! I think one of Gen Ai's biggest issue sis that it blew up so big too fast that the kind of growth the investors are expecting is just unsustainable. The big difference I see between the gen Ai and digital vs traditional argument is that digital art still requires manual input. It is analogous to traditional media. If i made music via Ai I wouldn't be able to call myself a musician because I did not play any instrument. The best part of the video had me google "the Palouse hills" and being surprised at not only how gorgeous it looks but that it is located in the US and I actually spelled it correctly.
Yup, that's what I do. Even if I make a meme in Procreate (I don't use Photoshop anymore if I can help it) it gets the nightshade and glaze treatment then plastered everywhere I can think of. If they aren't stealing images from the internet it will not harm them. If they want clean data sets then they can ask nicely and likewise respect my decision to say no.
PSA: if you can only use one of them software, use Nightshade and if you use both, they recommend you Nightshade before you Glaze. That way the data set gets poisoned even if the image is unidentifiable.
