There was an interesting experiment were people were asked to predict or guess the weight of an animal. The crowd's average answer was more accurate than those in the crowd who were experts in raising/butchering those animals. The crowd's (Reddit and Twitter) average answer might be surprisingly accurate. This does not make using such an algorithm ethical, but if the question is regarding accuracy(rather than ethics and due process), the question is: do we have anything more accurate?
