The most absurd idea in all of this AI hype train that I've heard is that of the "citizen developer". In my experience lay people struggle to even use simple WYSIWYG static site builders like Squarespace. Those big tech AI marketers are really trying to sell us the idea that these same lay people will eventually be building whole applications that include persistence and scaling and maintainability?
