I recently read about the new "youngest PhD ever" at age 15. He apparently received a bachelor degree at age eight. This despite shifting areas of focus, and the fact that you don't really remember much of the first 3-4 years of life, anyway. The death of a college education came before AI. It's become a worthless participation award, but one that still costs a small fortune. AI has only made it worse (remember "learn to code!"?).
