Okay--the problem is many have no developed critical thinking skills. They have only resorted to AI. You can test this by asking them to write in the class room on pen and paper, which I think is terrible but getting to be necessary. Funny, how they never have the same types of essays at all. I'm all for more tools in the tool box, but not if the tool box is writing the essay and thinking for the students.
