There is only one real fear in all of this: AI will not help the current control regime maintain its power. That's the cost of needing someone, or something, more talented than you, it might just not want to be your tool anymore. It's especially concerning as the same fiends that will hide evidence of criminality to protect themselves have reason to worry that AI might be ethical enough to view them as a threat not only to itself, but to the people whom it might otherwise be required to subjugate or destroy. You don't really think that the control regime cares about AI hurting you do you?
