I just had an encounter with Amazon's Customer Support chat bot. I was genuinely offended by how terrible the AI is. In its defense, once you give up on the runaround it gives you while not solving your problem, it asks if one wants to be connected to a live agent. There's nothing to suggest that in the AI, though, so I ended up going in circles for several minutes trying to address an issue not covered by the AI. I complained that it was offensive and never should have been deployed in its piss poor state. There's actually very powerful open source AI software available. What the richest man in the world is doing deploying garbage AI is beyond me. Apparently to shaft both their employees and customers.
