The argument about artists putting their work on the net shouldn't complain about it being poached is shortsighted at best. Thats like saying you have the right to record and sell another person's song because you saw it on YouTube. Copyright and use without permission laws applies in both circumstances.
All that withstanding AI art will just continue to grow regardless of how the industry sources it's base materials, unfortunately it's the prevailing trend of the industrialized world. Over the past 3 and a half decades more US jobs have been lost to automation than outsourcing, the commercial art world is now on the cusp of that same trend with AI.
