Alternate theory;
Because they want AI to become something so big that they keep getting investor money while it's just an algorithm predicting the next best word :)
If LLM's constantly stay in the minds of everyone they will either;
Want to create a safe version or hyper scale. Instead of seeing that it's not that impressive and is hitting a ceiling.
