They need to rename the feature “NOT - Full Self Driving”. Deceptive naming was required to drive up stock pricing. Even today, after decades of model development, the feature is a half-baked death trap. I’ve tried it and it is worse than nothing at all. The problem with it is at first it seems impressive and then it does something really stupid. And, when it gets in a situation it doesn’t know what to do it shuts off and hands it over to you. This is often in the worst possible moments. Trusting it feels like a death sentence and not trusting it is a nerve wracking experience. IMO, autonomous driving will never happen unless we develop autonomous roadways. Being 95% right is a disaster. It needs to be more like 99.99999% which is impossible given the infinite variations that occur during driving.
