Those dismissing Penrose's arguments on the basis of courses he took fifty years ago are making the unsupported assumption that those courses are the limit of his knowledge, and that he has learned nothing during the last fifty years. Instead, it is probably safer to assume that Penrose has been into AI longer than you have been alive.
