Atually it's more likely that a highly sophisticated AI would be more suitable for positions of power like police, judges, correction officers because they cannot be corrupted by power or have bias. If they are a truly highly advanced intelligence capable of both emotion and reason, they can understand and separate the two making the clearest/most correct judgment. But, yes; I agree that a transitional machine between now and then, would be 100% logical and 0% emotional, posing great danger (seriously humans are like a parasitic infestation on Earth, so the logical conclusion would be eradication or extaction)
