I thought this talk had promise, until her solution was an ideologically driven social "justice" campaign rather than a more effective algorithm capable of winning in both the marketplace of ideas and the actual marketplace. If other algorithms can recognize everybody but blacks, and your algorithm can recognize *everybody*, you win. And here's a person from a supposedly marginalized group, with both the technical know-how and platform to advertise a better algorithm, yet her solution is just another victim narrative driven movement **ANGRY SIGH**.
