I'm thinking about the AI buzz as 10x multiplier. If you are a 1x engineer, it can make you 10x one. If you are a -1x engineer, it will make you -10x one. Based on my experience, with an AI tool I can do things that I wasn't capable of doing before, but in a cost of technical debt.
