Yes. The workforce will be stripped down to manual labour and a barebones force of senior leadership and AI overseers. 80% will become permanently unemployed, so the current tax-based economic model collapses. Governments need a new revenue source to fund UBI, I don’t know what it will be but if they don’t things will get bloody.
If AI becomes the producer of value, maybe we really do just sit around all day and pursue our interests. With how things are looking now I’m a lot less optimistic, we’re gonna end up in some corporate feudalism situation for sure.
