I can't remember which AI managed it, but I remember reading that an AI came across captcha, and wasn't able to overcome it, but it was able to recognise its own limitations and then hired a human to do it. It also posed as a blind human to trick another human to so the captcha. That level of advanced is both impressive and horrifying when you consider the implications.
