At least you will agree that, except for some rare situations, you can only get it once? Once you've had it you've become immune to it?
The main goal of herd immunity is to lesson the rate of infection. Hence why even at 40% you get to see great results. Same thing as to why people get asked to the shot against the seasonal flu. Lesson the spreading for those who cannot get the shot (cancer fighter, elderly etc.)
