I maintain that they are different versions of the same error. I disagree that that "genetic propagation must be secured at least on a broad level to allow for more morally well-behaving humans to continue to exist." Firstly, genetic propagation does not allow any individual well-behaving human being to **continue to exist**. It causes a new human, who may or may not be well-behaved, to **begin to exist**. This is a crucial distinction. For, if there are behaviors that serve the interests of those who already exist, but prevent future people from existing, this fact by itself cannot be a reason to reject such behaviors as immoral. Since people who do not yet exist have no interest in coming into existence, we do not need to create them in order that they can be well-behaved. To do so would be treating humans as a means to an end, as tools to bring about good behavior, as if good behavior were something worth having on its own, apart from its effects on actual beings.
In other words, there is no reason that a moral system should necessarily contain provisions that more moral beings are constantly generated. If it doesn't, and as a result of following this system its followers do not reproduce enough to maintain the species, that would not automatically be a negative outcome from a moral perspective, as long as there are no accompanying harms.
