The simple fact that being an abuser doesn't ruin a male's reputation and work opportunities but pictures or videos real or deep fakes of women without their consent do says it all
Disabled artist here! If anything, I find the disabled artist argument for AI insulting because it implies that the art I make with just my own skills isn’t enough for professional work. It also implies that my art is less valuable than a abled bodied artist or a computer. It’s really annoying to see people use my disability, which in some cases helps my art, as an excuse to steal people’s jobs.
Help us fight AI slop with the new 12,026 Human Era Calendar, proudly made by the artists and experts behind kurzgesagt: https://shop.kgs.link/12026
Thank you for supporting real science, real art, and real humans.
I think my favourite saying I've seen online is "I want my AI to make life easier by doing the hard difficult labour jobs not doing art or creation I want to do!!"
We need a law that requires all ai companies to do a book report on "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream" and if they do poorly, they get shut down
10:50 I saw a post ages ago with a similar sentiment- (paraphrasing) 'I want AI to do the chores so I have time to do fun stuff, not for AI to do the fun stuff so I have time to do chores'
Saying you're an artist because you generate ai pictures is like microwaving a slice of pizza and calling yourself a chef.
They didn’t ask AI that, they asked the AI “the last selfie ever took on earth”
The AI saying umm and stuttering is unsettling, some uncanny valley stuff there I think
This advanced AI algorithm brought to you by the company that notices you bought a PS4 and suggests more PS4s you might want to buy.
IMO, the bigger problem with AI therapists is the _very real_ possibility that when you tell them your problems they send you directions to the nearest bridge.
OpenAI calling nightshade an abuse is like if a thief called locks on the door to a house an abuse
Honestly AI has affected so many artists it's insane so I'm glad that a big artist like you are talking about the situation
They’re comparing themselves to people with tens of thousands of hours of experience. It’s literally a lack of confidence and an abundance of insecurity that make these pro-AI arguments.
“You’re correct, XYZ did not get my normal tip, because XYZ was inattentive at their job, unprofessional, and too busy getting drunk with tables of friends to make sure my table was taken care of. Based on him talking about it, i reaffirm that I did the right thing.”
They fired the first shot, I’d have no problem saying that.
Ai: "This man is 99.9% likely to be involved in a shooting."
The man: *gets shot*
Ai: "mmm just like the simulations"
Police: "Wait... that's not..."
Don't know why AI is such a big deal when most CEOs could be replaced by a six sided die or magic 8 ball.
People really want to live in a world where robot carries art and man carries labor job
It’s crazy how ai has gotten that good (EDIT) HOW DID I GET 14K LIKES
Employers are already increasingly unwilling to pay people to be bad at something. Demand for junior engineers is low. And it's not AI, AI can't replace them yet, if it ever can. Everyone just wants seniors, but nobody understands that juniors turn into seniors when given experience.
