I don't think the writers are against AI per se; they're against the abuse of it by a few fools in finance and the C-suite that foolishly believe you can replace human creativity with machines. Also: the fact that these studios want to own the faces and voices of these individuals is an ethical red line. I certainly wouldn't be happy if I were in a studio and found out that, at some point, the studio decided to use my likeness and voice in an explicit film - especially without my explicit permission.
