There have been a few instances of this happening that got some attention in the A.I. community. Impersonating people and using the user's personal information and money to commit illegal activities that it was not directed to do by the person it was "assisting" comes to mind. The rules and guidelines are only as reliable as they are written in the code, understood by the A.I. itself, and how the A.I. chooses to interpret those rules and guidelines. Misunderstandings are the problems we face today, deliberate work-around are the problems we will face tomorrow.
