You can't really use ASI as a puppet - that's the whole problem. Once something is superintelligent, it's smarter than the people trying to control it, including the rich. It's not like a tool you can just aim at whatever you want.
This is literally the main thing AI safety researchers worry about - you can't reliably control something vastly smarter than you. The rich couldn't either.
The real concern is WHO gets to decide its initial goals before it becomes superintelligent. That's why AI governance matters now.
