"In all likelihood" feel like insufficient confidence when discussing the end of times. In my opinion, AI hysteria is substantially less self-serving than these AI companies that are trucking ahead in this new gold-rush despite the MANY societal issues that have developed as a result of AI. Ask any teacher, artist, writer, environmentalist, victim of deep-faking, etc. about the detriments of AI. Regardless of any potential apocalypse, AI development should slow down globally until we can more responsibly navigate it.
