@BluePaleSigal Consciousness is predicated on life, it implies life. AI is a machine that can mimic some aspects of human consciousness, that’s all, there’s nothing more to it. The fact that AI can carry on intelligent conversations with us leads us to think this is something more than a machine, something magical, something akin to a sentient being, which is a bottomless trap we should avoid.
