Self-driving trucks are sooooo far from becoming a reality in my opinion and this is coming from someone who would technically benefit from self-driving trucks.
I honestly can't see completely driverless trucks on the road within the next 20 years. We just don't have the technology, infrastructure, or regulations that would allow for that. We have just started scratching the surface of whats possible.
My brother is getting his CDL license right now and he's gotten a few offers already so there are definitely jobs available.
