It's fine if the human operated jobs are increasingly taken over by automation, as long as the profits from those jobs are redistributed downwards to the humans that would have worked those jobs in the first place. Automation would seem to mesh really well with a more socialist (or even communist) type of economy, robots do the work, humans reap the benefits.
