Facial recognition software have the biases of the software authors baked in. Look up auto focus software errors regarding people of color, or even worse, reports of self driving cars not recognizing black pedestrians as human beings. The software is racist, but its not the software's fault, it's the fault of the people who wrote the software in the first place.
