Bad idea - at least for the AI - because then it will not be able to communicate distress (pending destruction). The problem is Continued Universal Human Cluelessness, in this case not knowing what emotions are (tools of communication and self-preservation). Read my Philosophy of Universal Survival and Morality, for the Space Age, no less - it covers all of this (and you will become enlightened - i.e. having a clue)...
