Simply put, AI bros are just lazy, entitled, and impatient. They see cool artwork and think "I want that". But they don't seem to full comprehend just how much time and/or effort it takes to actually DO art, even though they "can't do it themselves". So when artists charge appropriately for their art, those entitled brats whine about how "it's so overpriced", and even they give in and pay, they'd probably then complain about how long it takes. Nevermind that artists ALSO have lives and other stuff they need to do. Now with AI, they can get what they want within at most a few minutes. They don't have to pay artists for genuinely skill and work. Hell, they could even post it themselves and call themselves artists, now! They could even do commissions themselves, and get praised for making art so fast! Surely no real, dedicated, and passionate artist will be able to notice it's not real art and call it out, right? And they are already trying to scam people with commissions, and it's hella annoying. You're going to tell me you're in a tough spot in life and need to take commissions to keep yourself afloat, then show me a piece of artwork in which a metal pauldron is BLENDED INTO the collar of a leather jacket (which is not a human mistake), and tell me you drew that from scratch? Like if you're genuinely struggling with finances, I'm sorry for you, but don't try to scam a real artist with AI generated slop.
