But one can't deny, EVER, that AI "things" are just that. These admittedly sophisticated machines will ALWAYS be "things" that "mimic" human traits, including suffering. Humans can't just "program" themselves to turn off suffering after they've been witness to fellow humans being slaughtered on a senseless battlefield or ravaged by an incurable disease. This is all the 21st century version (in the utmost manifestation of mental masturbation) of just how many angels can dance on the head of a pin!
