@guyvvbhvgdcvhyf-yl4ol, that's a false analogy. Calculator and AI are starkly functionally different. The main difference is that calculator is only to solve simple math. By 'simple math', I mean math beyond the simplest form of deriatives and integrals. What I mean is that solving simple maths via traditional methods doesn't require any particular thinking skill but just some purely repetitive operation of numbers and symbols. Repeitiveness is the thing we all want to truncate with machines.
And obviously in contrast, people ain't using AI to solve stuff that can be solved in a repetitive manner. "Write me an essay." "Summarize this article for me." "Generate some ideas for me." These tasks demand thinking skill. Do you think AI and calculators are the same breed?
