Thank you for explaining this so well. This was my exact takeaway of Neil's ridiculous responses. Not to mention the fact that when tens... or hundreds of thousands of white collar workers lose their jobs over the course of a few months, they can't all exactly "find a new job." They are f'ed. We are all f'ed, suddenly, all at once. On an interesting note, I literally spoke with Carl Feynman about this a week or two ago, as I drove him to trivia night! (He lives near me). I then watched the latest podcast with him that he told me about, and now ended up down this terrifying "AI is going to kill us" rabbit hole. (We came in 5th place out of 10 or 11 at the trivia night, but he did his part. We're too old to know all the current pop culture questions...).
