sure, maybe public perception would be different but functionally it'd be the same
i still couldnt like a whole ai generated song more than i can like a song made by a human who just used an alternate way to include lyrics through tuning a vocaloid. ai still fundamentally lacks humanity, while at the end of the day there's always a human behind tuning the vocaloid and choosing exactly how it sounds
vocaloid voice providers are paid to have their voice used as well, whereas no one's paying artists to feed their work into an ai.
and people would be trying to pass ai work as original regardless of whether there was a mascot and companies would still try to replace paid artists with it.
