The choice of training material is still down to humans to a large extent, and they introduce their own biases to what it gets trained on. The training data could include falsehoods, context-less information (i.e. open to misinterpretation), and weighted towards recent material that exists on-line (older, written material does not get used). I recently asked ChatGPT about something I'm an expert in (something I designed) and it got some key facts very wrong, although quite a lot of it was correct. The answer was also very plausible, so any non-expert reading it could be convinced by the answer it gave.
