@USA_SNEAKLEAKER They WON'T. The people who say that have NO CLUE what drivers do. How will that Autonomous Truck;
1) Secure and Inspect loads. Make the [DOT] mandatory cargo inspections enroute.
2) Inspect the truck and clean sensors and windows and make small on-road repairs like changing lightbulbs during a transit.
3) handle HAZMAT loads.
4) Deal with customers.
5) Swap trailers.
And all the other things drivers do (usually for free) while in transit.
