That's not how art works. There is something called fundamentals to art which artists must learn: lighting, color theory, perspective. There is not a single artist out there who learned entirely from copying pieces of existing art. Nobody would be an artist for long if all they could do is copy art which already exists. Artists are driven by the desire to create something new.
Generative AI literally copies an art piece, pixel by pixel, into it's database. It is not "learning" anything. It is repurposing patterns it has stolen from real, hardworking artists to create AI slop for people to use instead of hiring an artist. Does that argument make a little more sense to you?
